About TBA

For over 150 years, TBA has developed finishes which significantly improve the  performance of the textile substrate and their suitability for particular applications. We’re proud of our British heritage and to this day, that we remain one of the few manufacturers still manufacturing in the UK from our sites in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Weldstop® and Weldstop Plus® are our uniquely developed fabrics engineered and certified to withstand extreme temperatures as high as 1500°C, while Graflex® is our patented, unique fabric that retains flexibility at incredibly high temperatures, providing supreme wear resistance, reduced scuffing and abrading.

As well as the many fabrics we produce under TBA Protective Technologies, we are also the proud home of two other market-leading and fast- growing businesses.

FIREFLY® is one of the UK’s fastest growing passive fire protection solutions, with a
wide range of British made and fully certified flexible fire barrier fabrics and technical products. FIREFLY® products are fitted as fire protection systems in a wide range of buildings from hospitals and social care homes, schools, warehouses, offices, leisure and retail units.

Fothershield is our own, British made range of tailored Safetywear & PPE products
to perform in the most extreme enviroments. Supplying foundries and metalworks,
welding, glass, utility and a wide range of sectors where workers need protection from extreme heat and hazardous materials.
